The Tanztheater Wuppertal and the name Pina Bausch have always been closely connected. With the new artistic director Boris Charmatz, the theatre is now literally breaking new ground, which is documented not least by a new corporate design and a new website. We are responsible for the website relaunch and the implementation of other digital solutions.
The new digital presence impresses with a bold and confident look, whose central design elements are the oversized font dancing across the screen and a variable color concept based on editorially freely selectable color themes. This approach not only symbolises the avant-garde work of Pina Bausch and Boris Charmatz, but also forms the foundation for a special, interactive user experience.
The majority of the pages use a uniform color scheme, while plays and events stand out in color.
In addition to the relaunch of the Tanztheater Wuppertal Terrain website, we are also responsible for the design and implementation of the shop and newsletter. The new online-shop is based on Shopify, while Brevo will be used to create and send mailings.
In addition to information about the theatre, ensemble and current season, the new website focuses on the plays themselves. A customised admin panel makes it easy for editors to manage content and link seasons, plays, venues and dancers. This allows visitors to navigate through the website intuitively with just a few clicks and delve deeper into the world of the theatre.
We have predefined a selection of color themes in the website backend for better differentiation between plays and playing times, which also provides visual variety.
I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you for the last few months. We feel that you have given us excellent support. You have always responded to all our requirements and wishes and tried to find the best solution for us.
